Departments
Overview
Departments are logical groupings of workstations within your manufacturing organization. They serve as organizational units that help categorize and structure your workstations for better management and analysis.
Purpose
Currently, departments are used exclusively for reporting purposes. They allow you to group related workstations together and generate reports based on departmental organization, making it easier to analyze performance and productivity across different areas of your operation.
Creating a Department
Navigation
To create a new department:
- Navigate to Admin → Manufacturing → Departments
- Click the "Add Department" button
Required Information
When creating a department, you need to specify:
- Department Name: Provide a descriptive name that clearly identifies the department's function or area of responsibility. Examples might include "Design," "Production," "Quality Control," or "Finishing."
