Pickup Requests

  • UPS shipping integration.
  • FedEx shipping integration.

Overview

Pickup requests allow Labs or Offices to request a pickup directly from a dental office.

Creating a Pickup Request

Find the pickup request page for the Lab Portal by hovering on "Clients" and then selecting "Pickup Requests". For the Client Portal, click the "Requests" link in the top navigation bar.

Once on the pickup request page, click on the "Create Pickup Request" button and specify the following:

  • Doctor-office pair to create the pickup request for
  • Pickup date
  • Pickup time
  • Ready time (when the pickup request is ready to be picked up)
  • Close time (latest time the pickup request can be picked up)
  • Reference number

Enabling and Disabling Pickup Requests

To enable pickup requests, you first will need to have a shipping integration enabled like UPS or Fedex. Then you'll have to go to Admin -> Settings -> Shipping -> Pickup Requests and select a default service level and service provider for the pickup requests.

To disable pickup requests, you can go to Admin -> Settings -> Shipping -> Pickup Requests and disable the "Enable pickup requests" switch.

Managing Pickup Requests

After creating a pickup request, you can:

  • Cancel or Delete the Request: Cancel or delete the pickup request before the pickup time

Pickup Request Statuses for UPS

  • Processing: UPS has confirmed the pickup and is processing the request
  • Dispatched: Driver is assigned and en route to the pickup location
  • Completed: Package successfully picked up
  • Failed: Pickup attempt was unsuccessful
  • Cancelled: Pickup request was cancelled
  • Invalid: Pickup request was invalid
