Scanners

Automatically synchronize cases from intraoral dental scanners into Pilot LMS.

Supported Scanners​

  • 3Shape
  • iTero
  • Medit

Connection Setup​

  1. Navigate to Admin -> Integrations -> iTero/3Shape/Medit
  2. Input your scanner portal credentials.

How sync works​

  1. Every 10 minutes, Pilot automatically retrieves all cases and case files that were entered within 24 hours. Duplicate cases are filtered out.
  2. We retrieve cases with the following case statuses:
    1. 3Shape: Created, Order Received, Order Accepted
    2. iTero: everything from the "Total Cases" tab
    3. Medit: Pending
  3. The sync brings all case information, attachments, and files.

After Sync​

  1. The synced cases will receive a status of "Entry" in Pilot. The best way to access these cases is to navigate to the Cases page and select a default "IOS" table view.
  2. Every synced case is synced from a specific scanner. Because multiple doctors can use the same scanner, you need to create a mapping between the scanner and your doctor-office pairs in Pilot.
  3. Once you select a doctor-office pair, you will see the products found on the doctor's order.
  4. The scans and attachments will be shown in the corresponding case details tab sections.
