Why Pilot?

Why We Built Pilot

We worked in fast-paced mid-sized labs, designing tools and processes for operational people to streamline their work. We survived 2 LMS transitions ourselves, and having the battle scars, we are consolidating the lessons we learned about the actual software requirements of labs that are trying to scale their operations.

Legacy systems force labs into rigid workflows that don't match modern operations. They require constant workarounds, manual processes, and extensive training just to accomplish basic tasks. The user experience is clunky, functionality is incomplete, pricing is complex, and yet they're quite expensive.

We built Pilot from the ground up with one goal: make lab management so intuitive that your team spends time on dentistry, not on software. Every feature, every workflow, every design decision is made with this principle in mind.

What Makes Pilot Different

End-to-End Integrations

Pilot integrates with major intra-oral scanner processors, shipping carriers, accounting systems, payment processors, and other essential software providers. Manage your entire lab operation from one platform.

Advanced CRM Tools

Pilot provides a comprehensive customer portal where doctors can track cases, communicate directly, and pay invoices. Plus automated email workflows with custom templates that scale with your growth.

Industry-Leading Case Tools

Handle all your needs natively with powerful tools: create custom case workflows, assign and track tasks, monitor technician progress, and manage complex operations without external software.

Simple by Design

Pilot is a better, cheaper, and SIMPLER alternative. We believe dental labs can have software that actually helps them work faster, not slower.

Simple means less thinking - Less thinking → faster → more time saved → time for more productive work.

Simple means easier to remember - Easier to remember → less thinking → faster → more time saved → time for more productive work.

Simple means more intuitive - More intuitive → less training → easier onboarding → more time saved → time for more productive work.

The best technology is the one that disappears into the background and just works. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
